Spiritual Development
Children of Christ is a nondenominational early childhood Christian educational program. We believe that all children belongs to God through Jesus Christ. Here the children are taught the foundational Christian values that are based on biblical principles and Christian worldviews, taught on a young child’s levels of understanding.
The children are taught that God loves each one of them very much, that they can always trust in Him. They are taught that God is Good and that it is He who gives us the strength and courage to do all things that are good, loving and kind; and that it makes God and their parents happy when they do their best. The children learn that God created the world and all that is living within it, that they should love, enjoy and respect all living things. And that they are to love and be nice to one another, and to love and respect their parents as the Bible commands them to do. The Bible says in Proverbs 22: 6 to “Train up our children according to the way God wants them to go; when they are old they will not depart from it” These are our Christian values, and we are instructed to teach our children about God. Teaching our children about God allows Him to takes over their lives; and to protect them, provide for them, and carry them through life; even when we are no longer there for them. They learn that God is their heavenly Father who is able to take care of them. A Spiritual Foundation
As Christian educators, we too are mandated to teach the children in our care about God and His great love for them. Planting the seeds of God’s love in their heart at an early age will help to protect and direct them when they are older.
The children start the day with morning assembling where we sing praises to our Lord and savior, we read the word of God, and prayer. We pray over our children, our center, our parents, our teachers and our community daily. The children also recite the Bible and Christian flag salute and sing the B-I-B-L-E song. The children learn this daily alone with their Christian curriculum, "A-Beka", they also enjoys songs and bible games. Parents often tell us how their two and three year old are singing praise sings around the house. To God be the glory… Of cost No child is every forced to do or say anything. We have something at Children of Christ, for all of our children. |
Summer Program Information
Summer program Hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday- Friday. Our summer program begins each year on the first day of the first week of summer vacation in June and ends on the last day of the last week of summer vacation in September.
